****William's death date was taken from military records and Widow's application for Confederate Pension. If anyone has more accurate information PLEASE let me know.

William Franklin was born in Jasper County, Mississippi. Due to a courthouse fire, no records remain to determine William's parents. When we first find William in 1850, he and 2 brothers were living with the Green Berry Parker family in Jasper, MS. In 1860, he is living with the Tomison family in Houston, TX. In 1870, he is again living with the Green Berry Parker family. As of yet, we do not know the connection between the Parkers and the Tomisons.

It appears William Franklin was married twice. The first wife is unknown. They had one son, Ransom Henry "Rance" Robinson. Ransom married Caldonia "Doney" Wilkins.

William Franklin then married Nancy Emaline Adams. They had the following children:
