Funeral Services Held
Thursday for Edwin O Teslow

Funeral services for Edwin O Teslow, 81, retired Decorah township farmer, were held Thursday, Aril 28, at 1:15 pm at the Steine Funeral Home and at 2:00 from the Glenwood Lutheran Church, the Rev Donald G Lee officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr Teslow died Monday, April 25, at the home of his son Carlton Teslow, 705 Vernon Street.
Pallbearers were Carlton Teslow, Oliver Teslow, Francis Teslow, Henry Teslow, Ingeman Teslow and Raymond Teslow. Members of the flower committee were granddaughters of the deceased. The soloist, Harven Christen, was accompanied at the organ by Oscar Lovstuen.
Mr Teslow was born March 11, 1874, in Allamakee County, the son of Ole and Anna Teslow, both deceased. He attended rural schools where he also farmed for 40 years before moving to Decorah to reside with his son three years ago.
On July 12, 1890, he was married at the Glenwood Lutheran church to Clara Hersrud. Mrs Teslow died Dec 5, 1950.
They were the parents of 13 children eight of whom survive. They are Oliver of Waterville, Carlton, Henry, Francis and Ingeman all of Decorah, Mrs Carmen (Clarice) Hanson and Lester, both of Waukon and Raymond of Postville.
Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one sister Mrs Herbert Beall of Salem, MO.
