Carrie Dederick. wife of Fred Requa, died on Monday, aged sixty years, the funeral being held at the house on Wednesday by the Rev. C. Witthoft of the Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. Mrs. Requa was born and always resided in Ahens. She had long been out of health, but her death came as a shock to her friends. Her husband is seriously ill and his death has been expected for sometime. Mrs. Requa was a devoted wife and mother, had a large family and met with many misfortunes in accidentally and untimely deaths of her children. She was of a genial disposition and ever ready with help for others. She is survived by her husband, four sons, (John and Frank of New York) and Charles & James of this village) and two daughters (Angeline and Susie of Athens).
