I DANIEL BLANEY TATTERSHALL. of Kumeroa, do hereby give notice that I desire to obtain and will at the next Licensing Meeting to be holden at Woodville on the 9th day of June 1888, apply for a Certificate authorising the issue of a Publican's License, for a house situate at Kumeroa, containing six rooms, exclusive of those required for the use of the family. Dated Saturday, the 12th day of May, 1888. Signed, Daniel B. Tattershall.
* He was the licensee of the Kumeroa Hotel in Woodville when P. H. Lynch transferred the license to him. He was in trouble from time to time for serving liquor during prohibited hours and serving alcohol on a Sunday

Mr Charles McKay has disposed of his farm of 80 acres at Kumeroa to Mr D. B. Tattershall. We understand the price paid is very satisfactory to Mr Mckay who has been in possession of the farm for the past ten years.

- On June 8th 1925, at Private Hospital, Pahiatua, Daniel Blamey, relict of the late Eliza Tattershall; aged 74 years.

The late Mr D. B. Tattershall was born in Exeter, Devonshire in 1850. He landed in Napier 53 years ago, lived in Napier and Hawkes Bay for a number of years and then settled in Kumeroa, where he lived for 37 years. Until a few years ago Mr Tattershall was a very keen sportsman with rod and gun and his skill as an angler made his name a by-word throughout the district. He leaves a family of four daughters: Mrs Hoggard (Pahiatua), Mrs Dunford (Kumeroa), Mrs Watkins (Ashley, Clinton) and Miss Tattershall (Kumeroa)
