A resident of Loami since 1957, Mr. Kirby was a farmer. He was a member and past board member of the Sangamon County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; two daughters, Mrs. John (Monica) Knepler of Chatham and Mrs. Fred (Judy) Compardo of Loami; 11 grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Opal Kirby of Buffalo; four brothers, William Dean Kirby of Tolono, Donald E. Kirby of Buffalo, John L. Kirby of Riverton and Merle Lee Kirby of Greenview; two aunts.
Services at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Moore officiating. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Berlin.
