Victor Dan Silva, 35, was called home by his Creator on Oct. 20, 2008.
Formerly of Las Vegas, he was currently residing in Albuquerque.
Victor Dan was preceded in death by his father Victor Silva, maternal grandfather Arturo Marquez Sr. and paternal grandparents Juan "Shorty" Silva and Efren Silva.
He is survived by his parents Georgia and Antonio Ruiz of Albuquerque, maternal grandmother Neva Marquez of Las Vegas, daughter Latoya Silva and her mother Dorothy Campos of Santa Rosa, N.M., brother Dominic Ruiz and niece Dominique A. Ruiz of Albuquerque and sister Victoria Silva of Las Vegas.
He is also survived by stepbrother Dan Ruiz of Arizona and stepsister Roxanne Romero-Duran of Las Vegas. Also surviving Victor Dan are maternal uncles Arturo Marquez Jr. and wife Consuelo, Tony Marquez and wife May, Walter Marquez and wife Carmelita, Bennie Marquez and wife Diane and maternal aunt Irene Marquez. Paternal aunts are Carmen Garcia, Gloria Cain, godmother Ellen Duran and husband Amos, Jean Silva, Carol Aragon and husband Nick, Carla O'Neil, Yolanda Ortega and husband Melvin, Theresa Martinez, Camille Silva and paternal uncles Ray Silva, Leroy Silva and Larry Silva and wife Charlene and numerous cousins.
A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Mass of the Resurrection to follow. Interment will follow at Mt. Cavalry Cemetery.
