Andrew Jackson Mitchell was the 4th child of John E. and Martha (Fairfax) Mitchell. He came from a large family of 18 children. Andrew was my paternal grandfather. He was 59 years old when Ray, my dad, was born. Andrew's wife was almost 39 years younger than himself so there is a huge age difference. Andrew died when Ray was 6 years old and is buried with his 3rd son, Leonard, who drown on his 13th birthday in 1933.
