Guy Ables
Guy Ables of Granbury, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001 in Fort Worth. He was 81.
Mr. Ables was born Sept. 8, 1920 in Granbury and married Ruth “Peggy” Morton Nov. 20, 1940 in Tolar. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a lifelong resident of Hood County.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1996.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Ables and wife Yvonne and Randy Ables, all of Granbury; two daughters, Pam Mitchell and husband Billy and Mendy Neighbors and husband Billy, all of Granbury; one sister in-law, Elizabeth Ables of Granbury; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are today (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. in Wiley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Granbury Cemetery. Wiley Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
