Frances Buckles - ERWIN
Frances Buckles, age 71, of Erwin, TN, passed away, Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
Frances was a native of Saltville, VA, but had lived most of her life in Erwin. She was the daughter of Earl Graybeal and Bonnie Ashley Graybeal Rutter. Frances retired several years ago from American Water Heater. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Erwin.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Gambrell.
Survivors include: Husband, Eric "Phonse" Buckles; Children, Brenda Collins and husband, Mike, of Erwin, Joyce Whittington, of Ohio, Fred McCurry and wife, Sarah, of Erwin, Terry Keesee and husband, Larry, of Erwin, Johnny McCurry and Kathy McCurry Howell, both of Erwin; Step-children, Kathy Stamper and husband, Kevin, of Kingsport, Melissa Crockett and husband, David, of Boones Creek; Brothers, John Graybeal and wife, Lois, of Erwin, Lucille Hampton, of Erwin, Florence Roberts, of Erwin, Charles Graybeal and wife, MaryAnn, of Erwin, Ernest Rutter and wife, Geneva, of Erwin, Shirley Maynard, of Las Vegas, NV; thirty two grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Buckles will be held at eleven o'clock, Saturday, October 25th, at Faith Baptist Church, 2493 Temple Hill Road, Erwin, TN. Reverend Jeff Autry will officiate. Receiving of friends will also be at the church and will be two hours prior to the funeral service.
Interment will follow immediately at Evergreen Cemetery. All pallbearers will be notified by the family.
