Born in Robbinston, Washington Co., Maine; moved his family to Canada in 1893. He and his wife, Lola, were employed in the local sardine industry; first at the sardine cannery in Beaver Harbour and then, less than a year later, at the sardine cannery at Blacks Harbour. Martin Byrne Bradford, or "Byrne", passed away in 1917 while three of his sons were serving overseas in the First World War. Cause of death is not known.
