Ted Reece Mower, 71, died April 1, 1993 at Mountainview Hospital, Payson.

Born April 26, 1921 in Oak Creek, Utah, a son of Sidney Willis and Mary Mariah Hansen Mower.

Married Goldie Tucker, September 8, 1943 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Graduate of Wasatch Academy.

Active member of LDS Church, served as bishop, Sunday School teacher, temple ordinance worker and various other positions.

Served LDS Mission to East Central States.

Veteran of World War II, Postmaster in Fairview for 31 years, served as president of Utah Chapter of National Association of Postmasters in 1978.

Member Fairview Lions Club for many years.

Currently President of Fairview Senior Citizens.

Ted was a friend to all and always helped those in need.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survived by wife, of Fairview; son, Paul, Grantsville; daughters, Lee Ann Hansen, Janet Johnson, Fairview; Sally Dyches, Anita Bailey, Moroni; Claudean Cox, Bountiful; daughter-in-law, Denese Nish, Millville; 27 grandchildren, three great-grandsons; brothers, Peter, Woodruff; Lee, Fairview; sister, Dora Christiansen, Pleasant Grove.

Preceded in death by son, Karl, three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 5, 1993, 12 noon, Fairview Third LDS Ward Chapel.

Friends may call Ursenbach Funeral Home, Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the ward chapel from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services.

Burial Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors.
