Mrs Minnie Mae Compton, 79, of route 2, Strafford, Died at 4:55 pm Thursday in Burge Protestant Hospital after a two week illness.
A native of Green County, Mrs Compton had lived in the Strafford Community her entire life. She was a member of North Star Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Rufus; 5 sons, Bert, Route 4, Ralph, 1032 E. Atlantic, George and James Both of Route 2 Strafford, and Harold, 1101 N. Prospect; A Daughter, Mrs Dorothy Cookson, Route 7; and 27 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Arrangements will be anounced by Klinger.
