Robert F Birchfield 73, of Litchfield,
died Thursday, November 29,2001,
at his home, He was born February 9.
1928 in Walkerton, Indiana, to Walker
and Alka (Fraley) Birchfield. In 1955
he married Gloria Wilbur. She survives.
Mr. Birchfield served in the U.S.Army.
He retired from the former Albion Metal
Products Company in 1979. He enjoyed
fishing in Michigan Rivers and the Gulf
of Mexico. In addition to his wife, survivors
include two daughters, Kathy (Larry) Sanders
of Litchfield and Linda (Paul) Dettenwanger
of Independence, Missouri; two sons, Robert
(Marilyn) Birchfield of Kansas City, Missouri,
and Aaron Birchfield of Texas; three sisters,
Katherine Woods of Homer, Lucy (Andy)
Dudek of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and
Shirley (Fred) Dale of Coldwater, Michigan;
seven grandchildren and three great
grandchildren. He was preceded in death
by three brothers and a sister. Private
funeral arrangements were handled
by the George White Funeral Home
of Litchfield. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Lung Association.
