10 April 1972: Robert B. Buck, 52, 117 E. Cherry St., Palmyra, died Sunday at 9 a.m. in Hershey Medical Center where he had been a patient this past week. He had a heart ailment for a month. Born in Lebanon County, he was the son of Vesta Mumma Buck, Palmyra, and the late Roy D. Buck, who died in 1957. He was employed as a mechanic on heavy equipment at Bethlehem Mines Corp., formerly the E. Millard Stone Quarry, Annville. He had worked there for the last 30 years. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of Palm Lutheran Church and the Palmyra VFW (a past commander), a quartermaster for 18 years and a member of American Legion Post 72. Surviving in addition to his wife, Pauline Mohler Buck, are one son, Dennis R., Lebanon RD 3; a daughter, Joanne, wife of Bill Hohenshilt, Palmyra, and four granddaughters. [Lebanon Daily News]

12 April 1972: Full military honors were conferred by Palmyra VFW 6417 for Robert B. Buck, husband of Pauline Mohler Buck, 117 E. Cherry St., Palmyra. Services were held in Palm Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gerhard G. Dietrich, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in Grantville Cemetery. The Rothermel Funeral Home took charge of arrangements. Bearers were Orville Evans, Donald Shaffer, James Spurlock, Larry Lehn, Michael Starr and Charles J. Snyder. Honor guard included Larry Englebach, Evans, Earnest C. Hackman, W. Allen Wanfried and Shaffer. Firing award members were Englebach, Wanfried, Orville Deppen Jr, Robert Piehl and Thomas Wildermuth. Buglers were Steve Groff and Todd Hostetter. [Lebanon Daily News]
