A. June Ault, 81, of Fort Madison, Iowa, formerly of Dallas City, Illinois, died Monday, October 20, 2008 at her home.

She was born June 14, 1927 in Princeville, Illinois, the daughter of Charles T. and Pearle E. Jones Walliker. On November 14, 1946 she married Clarence "Dick" Ault in Princeville. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1974.

She was a graduate of Princeville High School. She and her husband owned and operated Ault Appliance and Furniture Store in Dallas City from 1965 - 1972. Later she worked for Chevron Chemical Co. In 1981 she moved to Fort Madison where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Silver Steppers dance troupe, enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

She is survived by one son, Robert (Susan) Ault of Gladewater, Texas, two grandchildren, Heather (Tracy) Wagnon of Austin, Arkansas and Ryan Ault of Farmington, New Mexico, 2 great-grandchildren, Justin and Dylan Wagnon and two sisters, Darlene Arnold of Tucson, Arizona and Helen Ferguson of Edmund, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and one brother.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Fort Madison with Rev. Brenda Goodall officiating. Burial will be in the Princeville Cemetery, Princeville, Illinois. The family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.
