Mr. G. B. Barrett Succumbs
After An Illness Of Two Weeks

Mr. General Bragg Barrett, 53 years of age, a member of one of Grady County's largest and best-known families, passed away at his home 7 miles north of Cairo shortly after noon last Monday, after an illness of two weeks. Complications which followed an attack of influenza proved fatal.

Funeral and interment were at Pine Level Tuesday afternoon, with a large number of relatives and friends present for the last rites. Elder Darley, of Vada, was in charge, assisted by Rev. J. P. Swann, of Cairo. The deceased was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

Surviving are his widow; three daughters: Mrs. West Brinson, Ebon Barrett and Eudel Barrett, all of this county; three sons: Paul, Cecil and Crawford Barrett, all of this county; two brothers: Van and Oscar Barrett, both of this county; and five sisters: Mrs. Lula Ferrell, Mrs. J. B. Dollar, and Mrs. H. J. Willis, of this county, Mrs. Minnie Roberts, of Grand Ridge, Fla., and Mrs. B. F. Dudley, of Baxley, GA.
