Wendelin A. Braun, 82, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997, at the Hays Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 8, 1914, in Vincent, to Andrew L. and Catherine (Dreiling) Braun.
He married Clarita Rohr on Oct. 13, 1936, in Vincent. A farmer and lifetime area resident, he was a member of Rosie's Polka Band for about 30 years. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Vincent.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, LaVern, Vincent; three daughters, Doris Robben, Vincent, and Louise Robben and Rosie Dinkel, Victoria; a brother, Albert A., Walker; two sisters, Mary Braun, Victoria, and Thecka Clark, Palco; 17 grand children; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfons Brown and three infants, and a sister, Anna Rohr.
Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Frank X. Grinko and Bernard Tomasetti officiating; burial in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Vincent.
