Our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Carl Clayton Loback, Jr., 79, peacefully left this earthly realm, into the waiting arms of his Heavenly Father, on October 17, 2008 in Kearns.

Born July 15, 1929 in Las Vegas, Nevada, son of Carl Clayton Sr. and Trysa Ida Porter Loback.

Carl met and married the love of his life, Margaret Ellen "Penny" Banks, on June 27, 1956 in the Manti Temple.

He loved traveling, fishing, sports, and BYU, but, most of all, he loved his family. Carl was a quiet, strong man who never complained. He loved trains and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after forty years of valuable service.

Survived by his wife, "Penny"; children, Karla (Joe) Jackson, Kerri (Dave) Manos, JuliAnn (Phillip) Torres, Gina Loback (fiancé, Harold Broadhead), Angela (Richard) Davis, and Clay (Mary) Loback; thirteen grandchildren; siblings, Melva Taylor, Ellen Nelson, Norman Loback, and Connie Nuttall. Preceded in death by his sister, Trysa Bradford; and parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. in the Kearns Stake Center, 4260 West Sams Boulevard (5215 South). Viewings will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and prior to the services at the church on Tuesday from 11:00-11:45 a.m.
