Our angel mom, grandma, sister, and friend passed away on December 28, 2017.

Penny was born May 29, 1938 to Joseph Peter and Alberta Banks in Caliente, Nevada.

She married Carl Clayton Loback, Jr., in June of 1956. He was the love of her life and swept her off her feet. They shared many happy years together.

She was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings over the years. She loved music of all sorts. Her love started when she was asked to lead the singing for the Primary children when she was sixteen years old.

She went on to lead the singing for the ward and stake choirs, and conducted a senior center choir. She loved to sing and had an amazing singing voice and participated in many choir performances. This love was passed down to her children and grandchildren.

Besides her music talent, she was very creative. She wrote poems, was an avid journal writer, drew many pictures and posters, and she even wrote a few short stories. But she valued her family above all. She found joy in all things and had an infectious laugh. Everyone loved her and loved to be around her. Her grandchildren adored her.

Survived by her children, Karla (Joe) Jackson, Kerri (Dave) Manos, JuliAnn (Phillip) Torres, Gina Loback, Angela (Richard) Davis, and Clay (Mary) Loback; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother. Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and her sweet Carl.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., with a visitation prior to the services at 11:00 a.m., in the Kearns Stake Center, 4260 West Sams Boulevard (5215 South).
Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park.
