My Grandmother, Tyyne Henrekson, was born in Kitte, February 16, 1908 in Finland to a Farmer and Wel-Digger family. She married John Henrekson and they worked together at a sawmill for a few years. They came to Canada December 29, 1929. They spend life farming a homestead and raising a family. They moved to Suomi Koti. Tyyne is survived by her daughters Taimi (Yvon) Discala of France, Mary (Torsti) of Thunder Bay, Miriam (Sebastien) of Longlac,Ontario, and her sons, David of Powassan, Ontario and Paul of Thunder Bay. Eighteen grandhildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeased by her husband John, her father and mother, sisters and brothers and her son Billy who died in 1957. Funeral Services held June 11, 2002, 2:00 PM at Saalem Pentecostal Church. Family and friends gathered at Riveside Cemetery.
