Lora Marie Carpenter, 73, Gladstone, died Jan. 13, 1994, in the Woodbine Health Care Center, Gladstone. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer's White Chapel, burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Carpenter was a lifelong area resident. She was a contract examiner for R.L. Polk & Co. before she retired.

Survivors include her husband, Gordon Dana Carpenter of the home; two sons, Ted Nusbaum, Independence, and Guy Nusbaum, Glendale, Ariz.; a daughter, Susie Rogers, Kansas City; two stepsons, Dan Carpenter, Fayetteville, Ark., and Richard Carpenter, Kansas City; a sister, Lena Webb, Kansas City; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
