Amon E. Johnson....Services for Amon Ernest Johnson, 70, of Cranor Road, who died at home Monday, were held today at 10:30 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Marion West officiated. A native of Dyersburg, his parents were the late Andy and Jennie George Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Jones Johnson: a son, Gerald Johnson of Murfreesboro; three brothers, Houston and Huey, both of Murfreesboro and Johnny Johnson of the Fosterville Community; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hale of Nashville, Mrs. Lorena Whitmore of Woodbury, and two grandchildren, Amy Carol and Lori Michelle Johnson. Pallbearers will be David and Joseph Johnson, Frank Ship, Bevis Ship, Bryant Compton, Gary and Aubrey Johnson. A member of the Science Hill Church of Christ and a retired carpenter, he had lived here the last 49 years. Visitation was held after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
