Fred Fauss, one of our well known citizens, died at the Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, Feb. 27, 1938, after a few days illness.
He had been visiting his daughter Mrs. Elmer Pfeifer, when he suddenly began failing, and was removed to the hospital.
He is survived by wife, nee Agne, daughters Mrs. Charles Sprankel of Waterloo, and Mrs. Elmer Pfeifer of St. Louis, and two grand-children.
Also brothers Adolf Fauss of Burksville, Jacob of Waterloo, and Henry of Maeystown, sister Mrs. John Reheis of Waterloo.
He also leaves two half-brothers Phillip Miller of Vinton, Ia., and Charles Miller of Fults.
The funeral took place this afternoon from the Wagner and Hermann chapel to the Evangelical Memorial Park after services in the Evangelical church by Rev. Kochheim, and was attended by a large number of symphathizing friends.
