Cleveland, Jan. 27.—Word was received here Tuesday of the death of Ernest D. Humes, who died Monday at his home in Mannsfield, Mass.
Mr. Humes was born in France In 1866, coming to America in 1880. He married Malvina Desquin of this village In 1888. He was a glassblower by trade and was employed in that capacity for many years both at local and Pennsylvania plants, before moving to Mannsfield.
Surviving beside his wife are a son Paul of Cambridge, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Adele Corbett and Mrs. George Buchanan and five grandchildren, all of Mannsfield, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Gouchie of this village and Mrs. Eugene Cuvelier of Kane. Pa., also two brothers, Antoine Humes of Syracuse and Alexander of Wellsboro, Pa.
He was a member of F. E. A.; F. & A. M.; was affiliated with Tyoga Chapter R. A. M. of Wellsboro, Pa.
The remains were brought here today to the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Gouchie.
