FUNERAL MONDAY

Services for Antoine C. Humez, 82, who died in University hospital Thursday, will be conducted at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eugenie M. Wilson, 1805 West Genesee street, at 11 o'clock Monday morning and in St. James Episcopal church, Cleveland, at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in Cleveland cemetery. Mr. Humez was born in France and came to Syracuse 55 years ago. He was a glass blower in Cleveland many years. Surviving are his daughter, a brother, Alexander Humez of Wellsboro, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Eugene Cuvelier, and four grandchildren, Robert, William, Horace and Helen Wilson.



Antoine C. Humez , son of Emmanuel Jean Baptiste Humez and grandson of Alexandre Désiré Humez, was born 14 March 1851 in Aniche, Nord, France, and died 30 March 1933 in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York. He married 2nd, Laure Octavie Andris 17 June 1880 in the Village of Berkshire, Lanesborough, Berkshire, Massachusetts. She was born 31 Oct 1855 in Lodelinsart, Charleroi, Belgium, and died 31 January 1928 in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York. Two sons who were born to them died as infants. Their daughter Eugenie, namesake of Laure's mother, survived childhood to marry and have four children. Neither Antoine nor his wife knew their correct dates of birth, so the dates on their gravestone are not correct either. Examination of their birth records provided the dates of birth given in this paragraph.
