Cynthia Thompson Bartley was the daughter of Van Denman Thompson and Eulamai Bogle Thompson. She married Ted Olin Bartley and they had three children, they divorced and she remained unmarried thereafter. She was a school teacher at South Putnam High School and Newby Elementary School in Mooresville, IN. She taught English, Spanish, and creative writing courses. She was a graduate of Depauw University and Indiana University where she gained her Masters in Education. She was a wonderful mother and a kind, generous, and loving person. She is missed greatly by her family.
