Born June 13, 1927, in Nelson County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Kidd and Virtie Thompson Kidd. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion R. Harding; a brother, Joseph A. Kidd; and a sister, Alice Kidd Pierce.
Frances was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, and was a great mom and grandmother. She was a retired textile worker from Uniroyal of Scottsville with more than 25 years of service.
Survivors include her daughter, Dolores H. Blondino and her husband, Eddie, of Madison Heights; a grandson, Robby Blondino and his wife, Laurie, of Rustburg; a granddaughter, Ann B. Vyslouzil of Amherst; a great-grandson, Cody; a sister, Virginia K. Thompson and her husband, Arthur, of Lovingston; four sisters-in-law, Ceclia Kidd of Shipman, Edith Yancey of Richmond, Myrtle Milway and her husband, Thomas, of Troy, and Florence Nowell of Glen Allen; four brothers-in-law, Franklin Pierce and his wife, Beth, of Roseland, Raymond Harding and his wife, Carolyn, of Mechanicsville, Wallace Harding and his wife, Catherine, of Richmond, and Pleasant Harding Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 14654 Thomas Nelson Highway, Lovingston, with the Rev. John P. Campbell and the Rev. David Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel.
