Services will be in Stinnett Church of Christ with Jim York, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Sargent was a member of Stinnett Church of Christ, where he was very involved in everyday duties. He loved his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; a son, Charlie Sargent of Stinnett; a daughter, Carol Trolinger of Skellytown; two brothers, Darrell J. Sargent of Skellytown and Kenneth Wayne Sargent of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Lubbock Children's Home Foundation, P.O. Box 2449, Lubbock, TX 79408; or a favorite charity.
