Mr. Austin was a resident of Springfield most of his life. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 46 and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors: a sister, Mrs. Leroy (Dorothy) Hill of Springfield; two brothers, Paul and Thomas Austin, both of Rochester; three nieces; three nephews; and several cousins.
Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday, Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
