Rebecca Agnes Neil was the fourth oldest child of James P. Neil and Rebecca Jane McGee Neil.

She was married to John Hathaway on 08 Jul 1894. She and John were the parents of seven children. It's my understanding that she used her middle name Agnes during her lifetime.

This is a photograph of six of Rebecca and James Neil's daughters. All of these ladies are unidentified except the woman in the lower right who was Martha Jane and the young girl in the center, who was Minnie Viola. The names of the rest of James' daughters were Agnes Rebecca, Laura Elizabeth, Mary, and Emma May--but which was which and who is missing is impossible to know. My best guess is that the missing daughter was Mary as she was listed in Rebecca's will as living with relatives in Pennsylvania.This photograph was most likely taken in 1886, when the family gathered for the funeral of their mother, Rebecca. It could not have been taken much later than that, as the family moved from Michigan in 1889, and it was taken by the Melville Photgraphy studio in Ludington, Michigan. It was obtained through the help of a grand-daughter of Martha Jane (Neil) Rice, or Jannie as she was known to her family
