Obituary from the Northfield News:

AN OLD RESIDENT PASSES AWAY. Levi Crump died at his home in Dennison Thursday, Oct. 30, 1913.

Mr. Crump was born in Cornwall, Canada, Dec. 26, 1840, where he grew to manhood. On June 10, 1865, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Sofley at Pickerning, Ontario. They moved to Erie, Pa., in 1868, living there until they came to Goodhue county in July, 1871. They moved to Prairie Creek about five years later where they resided on their farm until October, 1902, when they rented the farm and moved to town where they have since reside.

Their union was blessed by thirteen children, nine of whom are living: P. M. Crump of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. M. C. Stav, Sentinel Butte, N. D., Mrs. A. W. Farrankop and Mrs. John Dancer of Brookings, S. D., Geo. S. Crump, Mrs. David Howie, Mrs. W. R. Davenport, Mrs. Chas. Hastings and Mrs. Geo. H. Ross all of Dennison.

Mr. Crump was a kind husband and a loving father. Coming here as he did in an early day and being a man of wide acquaintance he leaves a large circle of friends who, with the relatives, mourn his loss.
