Kiyo Terasaki Mathena, 79, of 131 Bent Creek Road, Danville died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at her residence. Born October 6, 1929 in Sendai, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Chiyo Asano Terasaki and the late Gonpay Terasaki. She was married to Jack W. Mathena who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Cason and husband, Andre of Virginia Beach, Tommy Mathena and wife, Susan, Ronnie Mathena and wife, Cindi and Jack Mathena, Jr., all of Danville She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Justin Mathena, Brittany Mathena, Dillon Mathena, Lauren Mathena, John Mathena, Tyler Mathena, Heidi Mathena, Brandon Snodgrass and Kayla Cason.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 10, 2008 at 3:15 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Virginia Beach with Pastor Karl Sexton officiating.
