"Mattie" is the daughter of William Ritchey and Euphey A Latimer. She was first married to J. H. Weaver. After his death she married my great grandfather William Clary Brown who was a widower. The marriage was November 6, 1894 in Gainesville TX.

Funeral of Mrs W. C. Brown is Held Here Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. W, C. Brown, 76, who died at her home on South Taylor Street Wednesday afternoon, were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Whaley Memorial Methodist church by the Rev. T. J. Beckhain and J. E Vinson of Dallas and the Rev. J. C. Marshall, pastor of the local church.

The services were attended by a large throng of friends and admirers of the splendid Cristian woman, who had passed to the Great Beyond. Many beautiful floral offerings banked about the casket, mutely testifed to the respect and love of her friends.

Following the service, the remains were taken to Fairview cemetery where interment was made under the direction of Undertaker George J. Carrol, the following serving as pallbearers; J. A. Thomas, J. M. Maupin, M. F. Pitman, R. L. Kendall, O. M. Stewart and L. R. Hays.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, with whom she lived in Gainesville thirty-two years, four nieces, two nephews and several cousins.
