Juanita R. Blanks
(LANETT) Juanita R. Blanks of Lanett, 76, who was born in Randolph County on
January 30, 1921, died Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at East Alabama Medical Center in
Opelika.
Mrs. Blanks was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell's Lanett Mill and
a member of Lanett First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, James O. (Jimmy) Clay, Larry M. Clay and Rodney
(Jerry) Clay, all of Lanett; one daughter, Melinda J. Blanks of Lanett; four
sisters, Lena Williams and Eula Mae Ward of Lanett and Mary Nell Fetner and
Betty Jo Newton of Valley; one brother, Joe Tyler Ragland of Lanett; five
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Blanks were at Fairfax Cemetery at 11 a.m. EDT
Thursday, April 10, the Rev. Chuck Woodard officiating.
Directing was Johnson Brown-Service/Valley.
