Ernest G. Bailey, 73
President of the Lincoln Hose Fire Co., Keyport, and a former Keyport Councilman died Saturday, March 14, 1959 at his home 135 Osborn Street, Keyport. He was a former fire chief.
Mr. Bailey was born in Keyport and had lived in the borough all of his life. He was employed as a clothing salesman by W. S. Wallace, Keyport, for 53 years. He was a member of the N.J. State Exempt Firemen's Assosiation; Bayside Lodge 193, Order of Odd Fellows and the Keyport Yacht Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Estelle (Morrell) Bailey; two stepsons, John Marvel, Keyport and Gilbert Marvel, California, and a stepdaughter, Mrs May Morrell, Keyport.
Firemen's services were held Monday at 8pm at the Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment was in the Green Grove Cemetery, Keyport.
