Horace Allen Kelley, age 18 years and eleven months, died at the Limestone County Hospital about 8:45 last Friday morning.
Horace was born and reared in the Cairo community but had been living in Salem the past 3 years. Prior to entering business with his family, he had been employed at Brothers Store in the meat department. He was well liked and had a happy disposition and a good reputation.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 at the Cairo Methodist Church by Rev. Arnold Hunt, with interment in the City Cemetery, Spry directing.
He is survived by his father and mother, Edd Martin Kelley and Onie Lee Kelley; two brothers, Harold E. Kelley and Bobby Gene Kelley; his grandmothers, Mrs. C. C. Kelley of Athens and Mrs. W. D. McNatt of Huntsville, and a number of other relatives.
Pallbearers were Bill Barley, Marvin Christopher, Jimmy Harrison, James Morris, Jack Price, Melvin Tennison, Buddy Todd and James Wright Todd.
