She was a daughter of Christopher Frederick and Catherine Mealy Zuendel. She married Boyd Francis Winans, Nov. 2, 1883 in Tionesta, Forest Co., PA.

They had 9 children Dema, Jesse, Vincent, Florence, Hazen, Ruby, Ruth, Francis and Grace.

The oldest two children, Dema and Jesse, died young of Scarlet Fever.

Death of Mrs. Boyd Winans

Mrs. Minerva Zuendel Winans, wife of Boyd Winans, died at her home on Fairmont Avenue Extension, Lakewood, yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock, aged 70 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Florence Barry, Mrs. Franklin D. Fox, and Mrs. Leo D. Straughen, all of Jamestown and Miss Grace Winans of Cleveland; two sons, Hayes G. Winans of Jamestown; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Kellettville, Pa. The remains are to be taken to the home of the daughter, Mrs. Franklin Fox, 242 Hallock Street, from where the funeral will be held Monday at 2 o'clock.
