William A. Stiver, 65, of Glasgow died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 1986, in Flinton, after a brief illness. Mr. Stiver retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad.
He was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Altoona, the son of Ray N. and Margaret C. (Johnson) Stiver. Surviving are three sons: Thomas N. of Huber Heights, Ohio; William of Iowa Park, Texas, and Stephen of Arlington, Texas, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers and sisters: Donald and Naomi Yonkosky of Altoona, Herb of West Branch, Iowa, and Mary Lou Fortney of Blandburg.
Mr. Stiver was an Army veteran of the Pacific Theater of World War II.
Interment of William A. Stiver of Glasgow will be held at the convenience of the family in Carson Valley Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Arrangements by Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 8th Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the Jaffa Shrine Temple.
