Martha J. Heefner, 81, widow of A. S. Heefner, died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warren Snader, 61 Clayton avenue, Waynesboro. She was taken ill the second week of October and had been confined to her bed. For the last two weeks she had been critically ill, suffering from a thrombosis.
She was born near Roadside, the daughter of George and Sarah (Snowberger) Sprenkle and had lived the last twenty-eight years in Waynesboro. Her husband died about ten years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Warren G. Snader. Waynesboro, and Mrs. E. E. Eshelman, Crystal, Michigan. One grandson, three sisters, Mrs. A. W. Ruthrauff, Mrs. G. W. Heefner, both of Waynesboro, and Mrs. C. F. Happle, of South Charleston, West Virginia, and two brothers, Amos Sprenkle, Iron Springs, and Elmer Sprenkle, Chambersburg, also survive.

Funeral services Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home in charge of the Rev. L. K. Ziegler. Interment will be made in Burns Hill cemetery.
Friends may call Friday evening between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock.
