Resident for years in Dells buried Tuesday
Miss Ruby Neher, 84, and a lifetime resident of Dell Rapids, died in the Dell Rapids Community Hospital Sunday, March 13. Funeral services were held in the Dell Rapids Methodist church Tuesday with the Rev. Orland Sloat officiating. Pallbearers were: Webster Drummond Jr., Walter Crisp, Hollis Peterson, Henry Bokker, Les Berge and Ed Heimbuck.
Interment took place in the Dell Rapids cemetery with Hermansons in charge.
Ruby Neher was born Sept. 10, 1881 in Dell Rapids, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Neher. She attended local schools and also business college in Sioux Falls. She was a stenographer in the Dell Rapids bank for some years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge since 1903 and had been awarded her 50 year pin.
She became a resident of the IOOF Home in Dell Rapids in June 1950. She was preceded in death by her brother guy, who was postmaster here at one time. She left no survivors other than a host of friends.
