David J. Kemper, 45, of Delphos, died Tuesday at his residence.
He was born June 26, 1962, in Lima to Delmer and Ruth (Kohorst) Kemper. His mother survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include two daughter, Crystal (Nathan Howell) Kemper and Cassie Kemper of Delphos; two sisters, Bev Hale and Marilyn Tracy of Delphos; two brothers, Donald (Darlene) Kemper and Del (Scarlett) Kemper of Delphos; and his first grandson, Gavin Howell.
Mr. Kemper was employed in the automotive industry and was an active umpire. He held membership at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He coached baseball for more than 20 years, which he enjoyed very much. He was also very active in The Blues Pony League and enjoyed coaching softball. He was an avid Michigan fan. He welcomed his first grandson two weeks ago and was a very proud grandpa.
Mass of Christian burial will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 8 p.m.
