Byron C. Hair, 90, of Andalusia died Monday, December 22, 2003 at his residence.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Frank Beall and Father Bob Randall officiating.

Survivors include his daughters, Joy Tway of Andalusia, Ann (Lamar) McGlaun of Enterprise, and Nancy (Marshall) Skinner of Destin, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Saint Mary's Episcopal Church.

Mr. Hair was a lifelong resident of Andalusia and graduate of Andalusia High School. He attended Auburn University on baseball scholarship and later joined the National Guard. He formed and was co-owner of Brown Hair and Tire Company. He was the manager of the LBW Golf Course from its inception until his retirement in 1985. Because of his love for being around people, he went back to work as a greeter for Wal-Mart until his final retirement in 1996. Mr. Hair was also a former member and president of the Lions' Club. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir, served as an elder of the church and as a former Sunday School director.
