Daughter of Henry BIEKER 1825-1882 and Elizabeth HERMAN 1830-1909. She was also known as Mary Katherine BEIKER DECHANT.

Ness County News 8 January 1948

Isadora Bieker, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bieker, was born April 27, 1858, and passed away at St. Anthony hospital in Dodge City December 30, 1947, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 29 days.
When 16 years of age she moved to Fort Hays, Kansas, from Arkansas, and was employed in a Fort Hays military camp for three years. While there she was united in marriage to John Dechant and to this union were born nine children.
In 1910 they moved to Ness county where they resided most of the time until their death. Her husband and three children preceded her in death.
She is survived by six children; Mrs. Frances Paul of Ness City; Mrs. Mary Rupp of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Katie Rupp of Garden City; and Tony, Henry and Joe Dechant of Ness City.
Services were held Friday, January 2 at 9 o'clock in the St. John's Catholic church south of Bazine, Rev. Father Dyprian officiating, with interment in St. John's cemetery, beside her husband.
