He was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church.
He was a retired carpenter.
He married Ione Johnson on November 24, 1936.
She survives, also a son, Donald Barks of Marble Hill, MO; a sister, Hazel Farrar of Kirkwood, MO; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Liley Funeral Home in Patton was in charge with burial in Patton Cemetery.
