MRS. MINNIE BELCHER, 89, DIES AT HOME

Mrs. Minnie A. Belcher, 89, died at 11:50 AM Wednesday at her home, 1001 E. 11th. She had been ill since March.

Mrs. Belcher was the widow of Joseph A. Belcher, Monroe County farmer, who died in 1940. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Christian Church and took an active part in the building of the present church.

Survivors include three sons, Charles A. Belcher, 1100 E. 13th, John E. Belcher, North Fee Lane, and Alva Floyd Belcher, 702 E. Cottage Grove; a daughter, Mrs. Maymie Crouch, 1001 E. 11th; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Friday at the Mt. Gilead Christian Church in charge of the Rev. James Pickens with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The body has been taken from the Day Funeral Home to the residence where friends may call. Pallbearers will be three sons, Floyd Belcher, Charles Belcher and John Belcher, and three grandsons, William Belcher, Fred Belcher and Joseph Crouch.
