Clayton "Woody" Watkins, 81, of W. Jackson TR 172, Fostoria, died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at the Medical College of Ohio Hospital in Toledo.

He was born March 9, 1918, near Deweyville in Hancock County to Chell E. and Bernice G. (Gibson) Watkins. On March 15, 1941, in Napoleon he married Evelyn M. Rinebold. She survives.

Also surviving are: three sons, Tommie A. of Helena, Ronald K. of Fostoria and Gary J. of Port Clinton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leo of Fostoria, Dalton of Tiffin and Bill of Bettsville.

Preceding him in death were brothers Otis and Jim, and sister Edna Brandeberry.

In addition to being a farmer most of his life, he worked at Allied Automotive Corp. (now Allied Signal Corp.) for 28 years, retiring in 1980.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with the Rev. Robert D. Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
