Terry Russell Forrester was born May 17, 1940 to the parents of Russell Forrester & Frances Louise Teagle, in Marion, Indiana.

He attended Montpelier High School & was an active member in the band playing the trumpet. He performed with both the State & the National FAA Bands. Terry later attended Purdue University where once again he performed with the band, only this time it was the Purdue Marching and Symphonic Band. He later attended Ball State University to receive his Insurance License.

Terry met & married Nelva Elaine Ickes, daughter of Kenneth & Wilma (Crockett) Ickes. They married on October 7, 1962 in Montpelier, Indiana. From this union, came three boys, Todd, Greg, and Rodney; all of whom were raised on a 120 acre farm just 1 mile south of Trenton Store. Terry and Nelva farmed this land until 1990 at which time they sold the farm to Greg and moved to a home site north of Hartford City.

Terry had his first major heart attack in 1992 & would receive his heart transplant in March of 1993. With his new lease on life, Terry lived it to the fullest. He exercised daily & enjoyed life to include spending time with his grandkids every possible moment. He is one Grandpa that will thoroughly be missed forever by those closely bonded with him.

Terry owned and operated Forrester Insurance Company in Hartford City until his sudden death in December of 2001. He came home from church that Sunday morning, sat down in his favorite chair saying he was a little tired, and fell asleep.

He is buried beside his son, Rodney and his mother and father, Russell & Frances Forrester.
