Hazel M. Parker Yakima Herald Republic 8 Aug 2001: Hazel M. Parker Spokane- Hazel M. Parker passed away in Spokane, Washington July 31, 2001. She was born at Low Gap, Washington May 9, 1908 to Winfield and Effie Perry Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Hugh P. Parkerand Winston (Buck) P. Parker. She is survived by three nephews; Larry, Jim, and Dennis Parker and numerous great-nephews and nieces and their children. Hazel lived in Toppenish from 1924 to 1980 when she moved to Spokane. After graduating from Toppenish High School in 1929 Hazel worked in the agricultural business training hops, sorting spuds, and cooking on her father's trashing crews. Later she ran an ironing business. A graveside service and internment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Thursday August 9, 2001 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Hazel has requested that a donation to the Toppenish HIstorical Society be made.
