She was married to William A. Cooney, June 26, 1907. To this union were born two daughters, Rachel Walker of Mayetta and Charlotte Robson of Danville, Kansas.
When her health failed she was taken to the Harper Hospital in Harper, Kansas in order that her daughter Charlotte could care for her. There she died July 8, 1954, at the age of 80.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 8, 1944.
She was a kind and loving wife and mother and a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church at Mayetta.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rachel Walker of Mayetta and Charlotte Robson of Danville; two son-in-laws, Louis Walker and Harold Robson; six grandchildren, John Louis and Margaret Walker, Billy, Rosemary, Pat, and Jane Robson; one brother, James Newlin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four sisters Mrs. Edith Ross of Horton, Mrs Lottie Randel of Holton, Mrs. Mattie Yust and Mrs. Bertha Hastain of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at St. Francis Xavier’s Catholic Church of Mayetta Monday morning with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Holton.
