Relatives here have received word of the death of Mr. Joseph Newman of Switzer, Kentucky . Deceased was a member of one of the pioneer families of Kentucky and was one of the respected members of th e community in which he lived. He was 71 years of age. Death was the result of dropsy . Mr. Newman is survived by his wife , four daughters , and five sons and several relatives in this state among wh om are : Mrs Cynthia Dailey of South East street , Miss Louise Martin of West Stewart street , James R Sacrey of South Oak street , Edgar Sacrey of Bentown , Ill. There are three grandchildren , Mrs M aude Meeker of Colfax, Mr Harry Newton and Earl Newton of Cropsey .
